40-Weight - FREE MUSIC!

In 1998 I released an album that I made in my Iowa City basement called 30-Weight. I recorded it myself (poorly) and worked on it off and on throughout my twenties while I was finishing college, buying a house, getting married, working a regular job etc. I turned 30 that year. I didn’t really know what I was doing at the time and I never thought it would lead to four more albums made in real studios and take me all over the world. I’ve been very blessed on this decade long musical journey and my best friends as well as my wife/wives have all been connected to the music in some form.

So…as I start my 40th year, I find myself cleaning out my Wisconsin basement to make room for whatever is next. I have dug up some interesting recordings/songs that have never found a home on my studio albums. So I’ve decided to give them to you! A THANK YOU to folks who have supported me this past decade. I appreciate ya’ll giving a damn as I’ve pissed into these fickle music biz winds. I’ll upload a free unreleased original song each month for the 12 months of my 40th year on this planet. This project will be called 40-Weight.

To download the new songs from this website, just click the Discography button on your right… or you can also go to KP MySpace. I just uploaded a song called “Hard Eyes” for May 2008 …it’s all yours. No promises on sonic fidelity as I’m still a shitty engineer!

Enjoy and thanks again for the support these past 10 years! I’ll let you know when I post the June 2008 song. KP
